Hot Dip (Neon Gateway)
Las Vegas, NV | 2014 - 2020
It takes to two to get the spark going, but you have to find the source; that’s where the reeds grow plenty. They sometimes call me the cold cathode, but I’m no playa, all I want to do is take a hot dip. Hot Dip is the second landmark sculpture PUNCH designed as part of Project Neon. This undulating steel sculpture plays off natural desert dune formations and creates different colors (as the chrome plated tips fade in the sky during the day or reflect the color changing RGB LED lights at night) to create dynamic patterns, reflections, and patterns for pedestrian and vehicular traffic to experience. Hot Dip varies in height and size, but is approximately 35'-0"h x 250'-0" linear feet overall. www.ndotprojectneon.com
