minimum/MAXIMUM is a desert contemporary home built into a gem of a site (that started out as a diamond in the rough). Upon first viewing, the site seems cluttered in a maze of flora as it is layered with beautiful native plants and trees, but when one looks beyond that, it becomes clear that the site has some of the most panoramic and unobstructed views of Red Rock Canyon and Sandstone Bluff that one could ever hope for. The home makes minimum impact to the existing native landscape, while maximizing the stunning site view of Red Rocks. Built to last with durable Doug Fir concrete, exposed structural steel, and cor-ten weathering steel that will patina with time. The interiors are a warm compliment to the exterior materials with Vegas Rock stone, white oak flooring, reclaimed wormwood cladding, blackened steel, burnished plaster, and concrete (matching exterior). Warm and subtle lighting fixtures throughout the home create comfortable glows highlighting the unique artworks and understated custom furniture. The rich desert landscape is complimented by native cacti, Joshua trees, mesquite trees, and more. The home also uses solar panels, roof gardens, and more green technologies to make this beautiful jewel box of a home the perfect off-grid retreat.
